Enjoy pure nature in all its facets
Not only in summer for swimming, a hiking tour around the lake is also worthwhile in spring and autumn. A particularly beautiful hiking trail leads past the lake to the Schlühhüwanapfad and the Hüsli local history museum, the filming location for the TV series Die Schwarzwaldklinik. The trail is named after Klausjürgen Wussow.
Schlüchtsee nature paradise
Plan a little time at the Schlüchtsee natural lake. A dip in the cool water is particularly worthwhile on hot summer days. At the same time, you can admire the ponds and water lilies in the lake's nature reserve. Incidentally, the body of water is part of the 8.5-hectare nature reserve, which is registered as „Schlüchtsee“ and was created back in October 1940. The lake is also popular with anglers. Fishing licences are available at the Schlüchtseehof.
There is also a kiosk right by the Schlüchtsee, which is open when the weather is nice. Use the historic bathing hut for changing.

From Hotel Sonnenhof-Sonnhalde, drive in the direction of Grafenhausen. Shortly before entering the village, turn right on the hilltop (signposted Sportplatz/Schlüchtsee). Follow the local road to the Schlüchtsee car park. The Schlüchtsee nature paradise is also easy to reach by e-bike.
