The facility offers a very exciting, interesting world of experience in the Black Forest style. Your own senses are brought to life on several floors with special exhibits. On a tour through the seeing, hearing, touching and smelling departments, the whole family can discover a variety of phenomena in a playful way.

The total weight of the bridge is 730 tonnes, the pylons weigh 46 tonnes, the height of the pylon is 16 metres, the walkway weighs 55 tonnes, the suspension cables weigh 15.4 tonnes, the wind cable measures 3 tonnes, the span of the bridge is 450 metres, the walkway width will be 1.20 m, the maximum load capacity is 1000 people and the diameter of the suspension cables is 76 mm.

Travelling by car

From the Hotel Sonnenhof-Sonnhalde it is just under 50 kilometres to the suspension bridge.

By car, you can use the parking spaces next to the visitor centre at the west entrance to the bridge. These are located along Kurhausstraße in the direction of Todtnauberg. Please only use the marked car parks.
If all the car parks here are full, you can use the car parks in Aftersteg at the entrance to the waterfall and combine your visit with a short hike to the bridge. Alternative car parks are available in Todtnau and at Notschrei - from here there are regular buses to Todtnauberg.
